Bahawalpur is a city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
Until 1945, Bahawalpur used the postage stamps of British India. After January 1945, it issued its own stamps, a set of pictorials inscribed entirely in Arabic. These were official stamps. The state of Bahawalpur issued its first regular stamp in 1947, but after once again becoming part of Pakistan, the state (city) adopted Pakistani stamps.
