
Angra was a district of the Azores which used the stamps of the Azores from 1868. From 1892 – 1897, stamps of Portugal were inscribed ANGRA. Between 1897 and 1905, the three administrative districts, namely Angra, Horta and Ponte Delgado had stamps issued with their own names.
