Austro-Hungarian Military Post

Austro-Hungarian Military Post Coat of Arms

The Austro-Hungarian Empire existed from 1867 until 1918.  It came to an end when the country was defeated in World War I.

Stamps of Bosnia-Herzegovina overprinted “KUK Feldpost” were issued in 1916.  The same overprint was used on Bosnian stamps in 1917.  During the short period of issuing stamps, there were issues for Italy, Montenegro, Rumania and Serbia.
