German Occupation of Belgium
Germany occupied Belgium from 1914-1918. During this period German stamps from 1906-1918 were used. Two sets of surcharged stamps were issued, one in 1914 and the other in 1918.
The unoccupied areas of Belgium continued to use Belgian stamps, and after the German occupation, Belgium reverted to using their own stamps.
