Greek Occupation of Lemnos
When the island of Lemnos was captured by the Greek army in 1912, stamps of Greece of 1911 were issued overprinted AHMNOΣ (LEMNOS) in either black or red. One stamp issued in 1913 had the overprint HELLENIC ADMINISTRATION. This stamp was also used in the New Greece. These stamps were only used in 1912 and 1913, after which normal Greek stamps were used.
