The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a tiny landlocked country in western Europe. It has borders with Belgium in the north and west, Germany in the east and France in the south. The capital, Luxembourg City is one of the three official capitals of the European Union and the seat of the European Court of Justice.
In 1852 Luxembourg’s first stamps were issued in Belgian and Prussian currency. Later issues were only in Belgian currency. Modern stamps reflect the history, people and beautiful scenery of the country.
