The Republic of South Maluku (Maluku Seletan) was formed in 1950. The country was never officially recognised.
The country never issued its own stamps, however there are stamps bearing the name of the country. These stamps were referred to as “bogus” stamps (also referred to as Cinderella stamps).
There is no reference to the following stamps in the Stanley Gibbons volumes we have access to.
