The local name for the outer islands of the Seychelles is Zil Elwannyen Sesel.

From 1985 until 1992 stamps inscribed or overprinted Zil Elwannyen Sesel were issued for the outer islands of Aldabra, Coetivy, Farquhar and Amirante.
